Context📄

A CRM, or Customer Relationship Management, is a system designed to manage and analyze customer interactions and data throughout the customer lifecycle. It's a central hub for storing customer information, tracking interactions, and streamlining processes to improve customer relationships and intelligence.
Benefits of CRMs include:
  • Centralized Customer Data. Customer information in all in one place, eliminating data silos and ensuring everyone in a team has a consistent view of customer information.
  • Improved Customer Relationships. Provides a comprehensive understanding of customer preferences, purchase history, and interactions, allowing for personalized communication.
  • Enhanced Sales and Marketing Efficiency. Some CRMs have functionality that allow you to automate repetitive communication tasks, automatically identify sales opportunities and help to facilitate targeted marketing campaigns.
  • Aids Customer Retention. Helps businesses identify and address customer concerns proactively, aiding customer satisfaction and loyalty.
 
Without a CRM in place, businesses typically rely on alternatives such as fragmented spreadsheets, email marketing lists or even paper-based systems. These systems are typically less organised, do not provide useful customer intelligence and ultimately end in a poor customer experience.
 
In this lesson, you'll learn:
  • How to create a custom CRM using Frontly
  • How to add and edit blocks in Frontly to create pages
  • How to use filters to view subsets of data in your CRM
 

Let's Prep 🥗

In today’s lesson example you’ll pretend you’re the owner of a small marketing agency that’s just launched. You’ve started to generate leads consistently over the last 6 months, and you’ve now realised a need to get all of your lead information in one place. In addition to this, you want to be able to keep track of the services that are in-demand, and you want a simple way to add new leads to your CRM.
The CRM you’ll be building in Frontly will have:
  • A page that shows all data for all Leads that you’ve collected
  • A page that shows only data for Leads that are interested in Analytics services
  • A Service Demand bar chart that is a cumulative visual of your most in-demand services
  • A page that contains a New Lead entry form
