Hello there!! 👋
Today you’re going to learn how to build a a knowledge base using Notion and HelpKit.
Let’s build 🧠

Today’s Task📝

🧱 Project: Create a Knowledge Base from Notion Pages
⏲️ Estimated time: 30 minutes
🛠️ Tools: Notion, HelpKit

Context📄

Yesterday you started to dive deeper into Notion, learning how Notion databases are structured and how there is an ecosystem of products built outside of Notion that broadens its potential use cases.
Today you’re going to explore another popular use case for Notion, using Notion as a knowledge base.
Pay attention to the steps you take today to get set up, they’re very similar to those that you followed yesterday.
In general you’ll find that the set-up and configuration of many products that are built upon Notion are similar. Again, this level of familiarity and ease of product integrations is one of the reasons that Notion has become so popular.

Let’s Prep 🥗

What’s HelpKit?
HelpKit allows you to take your information from Notion and quickly turn it into a knowledge base. You can create knowledge bases from scratch, or use HelpKit’s templates to get started. Once you have connected to Notion, you’re able to quickly build customised, user-friendly knowledge bases.
With the addition of HelpKit AI (a paid add-on, but that you can trial for free for 7 days) you can revolutionize your customer support with an AI assistant that helps answer customer queries by pulling information from your Notion databases.

Today’s Lesson
In today’s lesson you’ll create a knowledge base from one of HelpKit’s templates, customise the template and add a new article. This is just so that you can get familiar with how everything connects and the customisation features that are available to you within HelpKit.
If you have a more immediate need to create your own knowledge base, HelpKit practices what they preach, with an in-depth help centre and extremely useful Help Center Academy.
